I create documentary films that blend cinematic verité with poetic representations of experience to explore possibilities for better ways of living together. My work focuses on characters navigating interruptions to their everyday lives or attempting to create changes in their local communities, contextualized by extensive ethnographic and historical research into their cultural worlds.

My filmmaking draws on my anthropological training and my history of working in collaborative environments with small, diverse teams. I am seeking work as a writer, producer, or researcher for documentary film projects that investigate the dynamics of pressing sociopolitical issues and open a space for audiences to feel their way into those dynamics.
